How to socialize a dog
Socialization
As part of our committment to the huskies we adopt and those that need our support, Kalmazoo Husky Club and the Windy City Husky Club are now incorporated under Forever Husky. Each of these organizations build on the philosophy of giving quality care to those that need adopting and to those that need support to the public by setting up events to socialize the huskies that owners have and to educate the public on what it means to own a husky.
Choosing the right kind of training will benefit your Husky and you with working out undesirable behaviors.
Obedience Trainers
Help with the basic "table manners" that we all would like our Husky to have. Your Husky may be missing a few or all of the commands so Obedience Trainers show you positive ways to get them to respond. The classes usually go for about 6-8 weeks and you attend them once or sometimes twice a week.

Behavioralists
Special people that work with behaviors that not acceptable at all. A few of those examples are growling or biting when you may be near your dog's food bowl, near their cage, sleep area, or taking a item that they may have. Behavioralists show the positive way of taking this behavior and neutralizing it so that the behavior becomes dormant. Most of the time, these behavior's can be handled appropriately and positively, but there is no guarantee and the classes go until the behavior is dormant and neutralized.
In either case, using a Obedience Trainer or Behavioralist is a great way to not only bond with your Husky but to assist you and your husky to be aware of what is appropriate and what isn't.
